Local wrestler Grayden Schloemann attended the Bantam State Tournament in Bolingbrook on March 2.
The tournament was for participants age 7 years and younger. Schloemann, who is only 5, wrestled at 37 pounds.
There was a total of 650 wrestlers at the tournament, and Schloemann won in his class, making him a state champion.
Schloemann is ending the season with a record of 35-2. He is done wrestling for the season, but will do some practices and camps this summer.
