The Randolph County Relay for Life Family Friendly Festival is being held at the Red Bud High School gymnasium on May 5, from 3 to 9 p.m.
There will be so much for attendees to do. Plans are for several types of food stands, an eclectic mix of musical entertainment, raffle items, a scavenger hunt, championship martial arts demonstration, yoga, a balloon release, and even an area where people can get their hair cut to donate it to someone with cancer who has lost their hair. The musical entertainment will include, the Down and Dirty Band, Hand Picked Bluegrass Band, the Red Bud Elementary School Band and the Southern Illinois Dance Company.
Everyone involved has agreed to donate their time and talent for this worthy cause so entrance is free and everyone is invited!
All this fun and excitement is being planned to benefit the fight against cancer, which has affected almost all of our lives. This is the 20th year that the Randolph County Relay for Life group has been able to bring people from all over southern Illinois together to share awareness of all of the good that the American Cancer Society provides to anyone who has cancer and their caregivers.
