Red Bud High School will host their Annual College and Career Night on Monday, Oct. 7 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This free event is open to the general public. All students and parents are encouraged to attend.
Representatives will be available in the main gym to share information and answer questions about colleges/universities, vocational/technical schools, trade apprenticeships and military enlistment.
In addition, a presentation on the college planning process will be given at 6 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. by Jennifer Harbaugh, SIUE associate director of admissions. This session will provide useful information and tips for the college search and admission process. There will also be a presentation at 6 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. by Mark Bosworth, SWIC industrial technology coordinator, for students planning to attend a vocational/technical school or enter a trade apprenticeship program. A representative from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will also be available to provide financial aid assistance, and a representative from Sylvan Learning Center of Waterloo will provide ACT and SAT prep resources.
