RB school admins give positive updates

Positive reports about how the school year has gone so far was a highlight at the Sept. 17 Red Bud Board of Education meeting.

Elementary Principal Ryan McClellan noted that they currently have 84 students doing remote learning, which is 14.6 percent of the school’s enrollment. This is down from 104 that they started the year with (which was over 17 percent of their enrollment). “We’re working on getting more kids back in the building,” he added.

McClellan pointed out that instructing both students in person and remotely is a challenge, but the teachers have been rising to the challenge and they are figuring out what does and doesn’t work.

“Hats off to the staff for going above and beyond,” he said. “It’s a lot of work, and it’s paying off.”
