Prepare to be scared at Waterloo Sportman’s Club Haunted Trail

WATCH OUT!–For those that dare to visit the Waterloo Sportsman’s Club Haunted Trail, this dinosaur is there to greet them.

Halloween is fast approaching, and those out looking for a good scare should make a stop at the Waterloo Sportsman’s Club Haunted Trail.

This year marks the 29th year for the trail. It opened last weekend and despite a rain out on Friday night, Rick McMahan, who serves as the chair for the Waterloo Sportsman’s Club Haunted Trail, reported the opening weekend went well.

While a few new things have been added to the trail this year, many of the crowd pleasing favorites will still be a part of the trail.

The maze, or “Maze of Torment,” will be the same extended length this year and is awaiting more victims. For those that think the maze may be too much, don’t worry, there is a “coward’s way out” available.

Other returning favorites on the Haunted Trail itself include the vortex and the hayride at the end of the trail.
