There wasn’t much on the agenda at the Aug. 5 Red Bud City Council meeting, but it was noted that the council is considering improvements to the Red Bud Sports Complex.
At the end of the meeting, Alderman David Friess noted that there has been discussion on doing work at the sports complex.
Friess added that he has talked with Rodney Nevois about getting a quote for improving the snack stand pavilion and for making the restroom facilities ADA compliant.
He reported that funding for improvements at the sports complex are not currently in the capital fund, but there is a possibility for matching grant funds, so they are looking at it.
And while there is an Aug. 19 deadline for this particular grant, the council does not have to commit to the project at this time.
