PEP program received generous donation

PRESENTED DONATION–The Angle for Autism program recently made a donation to the Perandoe Educational Program (PEP). Pictured with some of the donated equipment are: PEP Assistant Principal Chad Stolte, Angel for Autism representative Heather Maschoff and PEP Speech/Language Pathologist Anne Buss.

Perandoe Special Education District greatly appreciates Angel for Autism for its recent generous donation to their therapeutic day treatment program, Perandoe Educational Program (PEP).

Based out of Nashville, Angel for Autism’s mission is to “ provide funding for sensory rooms in the southern Illinois region that provide a calming environment to facilitate learning for children with autism and special learning disabilities.”

The organization was founded in memory of Traci Storey. She had just graduated with a degree in speech and language pathology when she was killed in an accident in June 2008.

Each year, Angel for Autism raises money to help schools and therapists obtain the necessary resources to meet the sensory needs of children with autism and other behavioral and sensory disorders. Angel for Autism prides itself in being able to provide necessary resources to schools and special education districts across southern Illinois.
