The Randolph County Cutters & Strutters Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, will be hosting their eighth Annual Hunting Heritage Banquet on Saturday, April 7 at St. John’s Catholic Parish Social Center, 519 Hazel St. in Red Bud. Doors will open at 5 p.m., dinner will be served at 6:30.
Funds raised from the banquets are directed through the NWTF Hunting Heritage Fund to support many projects throughout Illinois for the wild turkey and other habitat species. In addition to supporting the Wild Turkey habitat, local NWTF Chapters can apply for funding to support community activities for high school scholarships, JAKES Youth Day activities, Turkey Hunters Care Program (turkeys for families in need) and wing shooting educational programs for women and youth.
