Thankfully there were no serious injuries reported following a pedestrian vs. vehicle accident last week in Red Bud.
According the incident report by the Red Bud Police Department, on Thursday, Feb. 13 around 6 p.m., a 911 call was made reporting that a person had been hit on South Main Street, two blocks south of the square.
The report noted that Brandy L. Muertz, 28, of Red Bud, had ran between parked cars on South Main into the northbound traffic. She was not crossing at a crosswalk or at an intersection. Chad D. Buch, 28, of Red Bud, in a 2018 Ford pickup truck, was unable to stop and struck Muertz.
Muertz was transported to Red Bud Regional Hospital by ambulance. She was treated and released with no serious injuries reported.
