Moonlight Madness event is this Saturday

The Red Bud Chamber of Commerce’s annual Moonlight Madness is this Saturday, June 9 in downtown Red Bud. There will be a variety of events for all ages from noon to 11 p.m.

Featured at the event will be a car show, sand volleyball tournament, euchre tournament, a bags tournament, the crowning of Little Mister and Miss Red Bud, various kids’ activities, vendors and music all afternoon.

For musical entertainment this year, KevyKev of KBDZ 93.1 will be doing a live broadcast at Moonlight Madness from noon to 7 p.m. and Freefall will be playing from 7-11 p.m.

For the kids’ activities this year, the bicycle parade will be returning. From noon to 3 p.m. kids can enjoy balloon art, sidewalk chalk, bubbles and decorating their bicycles/tricycles for the bike parade. From 4:30 to 10:30 p.m., bounce houses and miniature golf will be available.

Added into the Moonlight Madness this year is the Little Mister and Miss Red Bud contest. The winners will be crowned at 5 p.m.

The Little Miss candidates are: Ava Deterding, Serenity Hesse, Payton Liefer, Kaylie Mikel and Maggie Roy. The Little Mister candidate is: Mason Mehring.

The Car Show on Main will run from noon to 3 p.m. There is a $10 per vehicle entry fee. Check in on the day of the show will be held in the city hall parking lot starting at noon, and cars in the show will be parked along Main Street.
