Youth wrestlers from Red Bud continue to excel with one taking first place at the recent regional competition.
Jogan Lazenby, 6, took first place at regionals held Feb. 29 at Althoff High School. He will compete this weekend on March 8 at the state competition at Bolingbrook High School.
Lazenby, who wrestles for the Bulldog Wrestling Club in Waterloo, has had a very successful season with a 29-0 record. In addition to his regional win, he took first at the John Davis Tournament where there were over 1,200 youth present.
