The 36th Annual Red Bud Community Language Arts Festival was held on Nov. 26 at Red Bud Elementary School.
Kindergarten through eighth grade students from RBES, St. John’s Lutheran, St. John’s the Baptist Catholic and Trinity Lutheran Schools submitted a total of 250 stories this year. The books were judged by the teachers and outstanding, first place and participant winners were awarded the night of the festival.
Outstanding winners were asked to read a portion of their story during the festival program. All outstanding and first place winners were put into a drawing for a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card. Jeda Friess from RBES won the gift card to Amazon and several other students received attendance prizes of McDonald’s gift cards.
