Golf team wins invitational

Red Bud High School’s boys golf team traveled to Scott Air Force Base to compete against Lebanon at Cardinal Creek Golf Course on Aug. 29. The Musketeers defeated the Greyhounds with a team score of 195 while Lebanon scored 323.

On Aug. 30, the Musketeer team consisting of Caleb Langrehr, Jesse Suhre, Alex Kueker, Austin Grohmann, Kendall Doiron andDylan Roscow competed in the Chester Invitational at Chester Country Club. The Musketeers won with a score of 344. Receiving medalist of the tournament was junior Alex Kueker with a four over par 76. Senior Jesse Suhre shot the fourth lowest round with an 84. Also competing were New Athens, Sparta, Steeleville, Chester and Trico.

This week the team is scheduled to play Central on Wednesday at Bent Oaks Golf Course.
