Expansion planned at Leesman Funeral Home in Red Bud

ADDING EXPANSION–The Leesman family is remodeling and expanding the former Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud. The expansion will include the addition of a chapel area. Pictured is a rendition of the expansion.

Just over a year and a half ago, two local brothers, Bruce and Greg Leesman decided to expand their outreach in the funeral service by purchasing Koch-Liefer Funeral Home, located at 220 Locust Street in Red Bud, from longtime owners Harold and Lorraine Liefer.

In addition to Red Bud, the brothers also currently own funeral homes in Dupo, Millstadt and Columbia.

The Leesmans, along with their staff, note that they have been welcomed into the Red Bud community with open arms. The continued trust and support of the community has not gone unnoticed. The business has grown extensively, and now more new growth is on its way.

When the Leesmans first purchased the Koch-Liefer Funeral Home, they made a few improvements to keep things moving forward.

Now, the Leesman family and their staff are excited to announce not only a remodel of the existing funeral home, but the addition of a 2,640 square foot chapel to provide a modern and spacious area for family and friends to gather for visitations and funerals.

The beautiful new chapel will seat up to 175 people comfortably, while maintaining the character of the existing structure. The lounge area will be relocated inside the building, along with restroom upgrades and a convenient consultation and conference room.
