As they have done at several previous meetings, the Evansville Village Board started discussion on topics then pushed them aside to deal with later.
Over the course of the past several months, the board has repeatedly brought up both the village’s five year plan and recodification process. Each time the board will spend considerable time discussing pieces of these, stressing the importance of getting the processes going, only to decide to revisit the matters later. Monday night’s meeting was no exception.
The board only briefly brought up the five year plan, with Village President Erwin “Red” Becker noting that they would wait on the matter until they could discuss it further with Kaskaskia Regional Port District General Manager Ed Weilbacher.
With recodification, the board started off by looking at some of the suggestions for changes in the village codes.
