Class of 2020

St. John’s Lutheran School held its commencement exercise on June 5 in an outside service on the St. John’s Lutheran Church parking lot. Two valedictorians, Addison Dilley and Ryker Papenberg, gave the valedictorians’ address. The presentation of the class was made by Principal Deitt Schneider. Board for Parish Education Chairman Andrew Stellhorn presented the diplomas and addressed the class. Other awards were announced by Schneider and presented by Stellhorn. Parents were recognized for years of parental support while having their last child at this time graduate. The salutatorians’ prayer was given by Olivia Schluter and Trace Wagner. Other graduates were recognized in attendance from grade school, high school and college. The class chose as their class flower the red rose; their class verse was Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”; class colors were red, white and black; and the class song was “In Christ Alone.” The following students were recognized as graduates and are pictured with eighth grade teacher Justin Palm and Principal Schneider: Trace Wagner, Olivia Schluter, Dustin Salger, Chase Lucht, Byron Schlueter, Isaac Moll, Clarie Diewald, Josie Meyer, Sam Wright, Melayna Crafton, Dylan Minemann, Addison Dilley, Cash Langrehr, Kaci Trost, Lucas Guebert, Abigail Vallett, Ben Whelan and Ryker Papenberg.
