Chamber After Hours meeting held July 25

CITIZENS OF ACHIEVEMENT–At their annual dinner in March, the Red Bud Chamber of Commerce took the opportunity to recognize all of the previous Citizens of Achievement, presenting those in attendance with a special pin. Unfortunately, not all of the previous Citizens of Achievement were able to attend the dinner, so the Chamber has been inviting those individuals to their Business After Hours events. Four more previous Citizens of Achievement were recognized and presented their pins at the event held at Relics n’ Restoration on July 25. Pictured at the presentation are: Chamber Director Matt Shields, Chamber President Twyla Schulte, Pam Ehlers accepting the pin for her father Leonard Keil (1991), Glenn Gielow (2008), Richard Roehrkasse (2011), Larry Ehlers (2012) and Chamber Directors Julie Hudson and Catherine Glasscock.

Three local businesses hosted the July 25 Red Bud Chamber of Commerce After Hours meeting. Providing the meeting’s location was Relics n’ Restoration, while Cajun Table Catering Company provided the food and Sally Cakes provided the desserts.

Kicking off the meeting, Chamber President Twyla Schulte and Secretary Julie Hudson recognized some of the previous Red Bud Citizens of Achievement in attendance.

At the Chamber’s annual dinner this year, they had recognized previous recipients and presented them pins. Not all of the previous Citizens of Achievement were in attendance at the dinner, so the Chamber has been trying to recognize those that weren’t at the dinner at their After Hours meetings.

Recognized at the July 25 meeting were: Glenn Gielow (2008), Richard Roehrkasse (2011) and Larry Ehlers (2012). Pam Ehlers was also presented with a pin for her father Leonard Keil (1991).

Schulte then recapped some of the Chamber’s recent events. This included the Red Bud Community Prayer Breakfast on May 2, an open house and ribbon cutting for Parlor on Market on May 4 and the Christmas in July sales event from July 18-25.
