Celebrate Girl Scout Week

Red Bud Mayor Tim Lowry is pictured with some area Girl Scouts at city hall on Monday afternoon to sign a proclamation declaring March 11-17 as Girl Scout Week. Originally founded in Savannah, GA in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low, this year Girl Scouts are celebrating 106 years of Scouting with nearly three million Girl Scouts in 92 counties and more than 60 million alumnae, all united by lifelong friendships, shared adventures and the desire to do big things to make the world a better place.
