Buehler recognized for service to Village of Ruma

Ruma Police Chief Tim Buehler

“I was pretty surprised,” Tim Buehler said of his recent recognition by the Village of Ruma.

The village wanted to recognize Buehler’s 20 years of dedicated service and presented him with a plaque, thanking him for all he has done.

It was noted that the village had sponsored Buehler as a cadet to go through the police academy, so he has been with the town since the start of his police career.

Now, Buehler serves as Ruma’s police chief. He also currently serves as a police lieutenant for New Athens and works part time for the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
