Over the weekend, BT Floor Designs, located at 135 South Main Street in downtown Red Bud, had a change of ownership and a new name.
Toni Diewald and her son Blake Diewald bought the store, formerly Koch Liefer Flooring, in November of 2007.
They both worked at the store until December 2012, when Blake wanted to dedicate full time to his appraisal business.
In January 2013, Toni hired Garon Schnepel. “He has been a huge asset to me and the store. I truly could not have done it without him,” Toni noted.
She added that over these past 12 years, “I put my heart and soul into the store, promoting the business on quality products, great service and quality installation.
“My favorite thing to do was to work with customers on choosing colors and styles of each product. Whether it was carpet, hardwood, luxury vinyl tile or plank, sheet vinyl or a customer built tiled shower, it was always fun to work with the customer. Our most common saying was, ‘let’s take it to the window.’ That’s the best lighting and we sold many jobs in those front windows.”
Toni would like to express her gratitude to all who have come through the store’s doors over the past 12 years. “The loyalty and trust of all my awesome customers over the years has meant so much to me.”
On March 29, Toni officially retired and turned the store’s keys over to the new owners, Courtney and Greg Blake. The Blakes are renaming the store to Red Bud Floor & Decor.
