Annual Ride for Wishes will be held this Sunday

The third annual Ride for Wishes Road Rally will be held on Sunday, Oct. 7, starting and ending at Vice’s Bar in Red Bud.

The road rally is in memory of Alec Ninker, who passed away in March 2015, and proceeds from the road rally will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Kurt Warner’s First Things First Foundation.

Ninker was diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia in May 2002. He was then granted a wish by these two foundations that allowed him to go to Disney World in June 2003.

Despite his diagnosis, Ninker refused to let it keep him from playing sports, racing his dirt bike, graduating from Sparta High School in May 2014, and from living his life to the fullest.

Always with a smile on his face, he was an inspiration to many.

Sign up for the rally is from 10 a.m. to noon at Vices. Participants should return there by 6 p.m. The cost to participate is $15 per person or $25 per couple.
