This weekend, the Christmas season gets underway in Prairie du Rocher with the annual La Fete de Noel celebration held on Sunday, Dec. 3.
The celebration will take place at the Prairie du Rocher American Legion from noon to 4 p.m.
During that time, there will be a wide variety of vendors and crafters set up to help find that perfect Christmas present. There is also a kid’s corner, sponsored by First Bank of Red Bud, where kids can make and take home their own holiday crafts.
Local Girl Scouts will be singing Christmas carols at 1 p.m. The girls are also sponsoring a toy collection for Toys for Tots, and La Fete de Noel attendees can help by donating new, unwrapped toys.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance at 1 p.m. and will visit with children until 3 p.m.
